Strictly speaking, none, but a soap dish that lets water drain away extends the life of your bar considerably. For travelling, a tin or pouch is handy so you do not end up with a damp bar in your bag.

Handy for a holiday by plane: do not use your bar in the last 24 hours before departure, so there is no water left in it.
