Caring for your Bamboo Soap Dish

Because the dish is untreated, it is important to care for it regularly to extend its life. Treat the dish with oil, for example sunflower oil, by placing the dish in an oil bath for 2-3 days. This lets the wood fill up with oil again and makes the dish water-repellent once more. Then polish the dish and leave it for another 2-3 days so the excess oil can drain off. That keeps the dish in top condition for months of use.
