Banner met Beesha shampoo bars en conditioner bars in gekleurde doosjes

Your hair will act strangely for the first few weeks.

That's part of it.

Here you can read what is happening and what you can do about it. Two minutes.

What to expect

Two to four weeks to adjust

Are you switching from a bottle to a bar for the first time? Your hair may need two to four weeks to adjust. During that period, it might feel coarse or dry, and sometimes it gets greasy faster. That is normal and will go away on its own. A conditioner bar helps your hair find its balance more quickly.

Week 1

Stiff, dry, or prone to becoming greasy more quickly.

Continue. Wet thoroughly, rinse well.

Week 2

Varies, usually already less.

Conditioner only on the lengths.

Week 3 to 4

Brings into balance.

Washing less often is now possible.

Then

This is your new normal.

This is how you make it a success

Three things that make the difference

Wet your hair and the bar thoroughly.

Rub the bar over your wet hair a few times, or lather it up between your hands. Being wet enough is more important than the method.

Massage into your scalp, not the lengths.

You wash your scalp; your lengths rinse clean automatically. Mild and pH-balanced. Washing more often is possible, though usually not necessary.

Conditioner only on the ends

It doesn't lather; that's normal. It leaves a thin layer behind: your hair feels smoother and is easier to comb. Leave it on for a short time, then rinse out.

And if it doesn't feel right

What goes wrong, and what you do about it

My hair keeps getting greasy

Massage it into your scalp instead of the lengths, and rinse for longer than you are used to. Use half the amount of conditioner you currently use, and keep it away from your scalp.

My hair is frizzy

Then your hair is lacking moisture. Put down the hair dryer and the straightener, wash it less often, and let the conditioner soak in for a few minutes longer. Do not comb your hair when wet, but let it dry first.

I have hard water

In large parts of the Netherlands, there is a lot of limescale in the tap water. This makes rinsing harder and your hair feel coarser. Rinse longer than you are used to and use lukewarm water. Your water company publishes the hardness per postcode.

The bar is not foaming

A conditioner bar should not lather. A shampoo bar should, but less than shampoo from a bottle. More lather does not mean cleaner.

Still not better after four weeks?

The logical next step

The conditioner that goes with your bar

The same scent in shampoo and conditioner is the combination that our customers order together most often, and is usually the reason the switch is successful. For most scents, there is also a conditioner. Is yours not listed? Natural goes with everything.
