Productomschrijving

Red Clay Mask: The Circulation Booster for Radiant Skin

Red clay owes its striking colour to a high concentration of natural iron oxide, a mineral that stimulates blood circulation in the skin. That makes red clay unique compared with other clays: where white kaolin soothes and green clay tackles impurities, red clay gives your skin an active boost from within. The result? A warmer, healthier glow that makes your skin look rested and vital.

For €7,95 you get a tin of clay powder that makes several masks.

What is red clay?

Red clay is a natural clay that owes its characteristic deep red colour to iron oxide. It has been used for centuries in traditional skincare, including around the Mediterranean and in North Africa. The mineral in this product, Montmorillonite, is a clay known for its ability to release minerals to the skin, rather than only absorbing substances.

That is the difference with green clay or ghassoul: those draw impurities out of your skin. Red clay does that lightly too, but at the same time gives minerals back. It is a clay that cleanses and nourishes.

What does red clay do for your skin?

🔴 Stimulates circulation. This is the main benefit of red clay. The iron oxide in the clay stimulates microcirculation in the skin, the blood flow in the smallest blood vessels just beneath the skin's surface. Better circulation means more oxygen and nutrients reaching the skin cells, and faster removal of waste products. The visible result: a warmer, healthier skin tone and a natural glow.

🔴 Gives the skin a healthy glow. Customers confirm it: "beautiful, smooth and well cared-for skin" and "makes the face lovely and soft". After rinsing off the mask, the skin has a noticeably fresher, warmer look, as if you have just had a facial massage.

🔴 Supports skin renewal. The minerals in red clay, iron, silicon, magnesium, support the skin's natural renewal process. Older skin cells are shed faster, younger cells come to the surface sooner. This contributes to a more even, smoother complexion.

🔴 Cleanses gently without drying out. Red clay cleanses more gently than green clay or ghassoul. It lightly absorbs excess sebum and removes dead skin cells, but does not disturb the moisture balance. After use your skin feels clean and nourished, not tight or dry.

🔴 Improves skin tone. Through the combination of stimulation, cleansing and mineral release, red clay can help with an uneven skin tone. With regular use, the skin looks fresher and more even.

Who is this clay mask for?

Red clay is the ideal choice for:

  • Mature skin that is losing its glow and vitality
  • Tired, dull skin that looks weary and sallow
  • Normal to dry skin that needs cleansing without drying out
  • Skin with an uneven tone that wants to look fresher and more even
  • Anyone who wants to stimulate circulation for a natural, healthy glow

Not the right choice for: Very oily or acne-prone skin that needs strong sebum absorption. In that case choose our Green Clay. Or very sensitive skin that only tolerates the mildest clay, in that case choose White Kaolin.

How to use

  1. Mix a teaspoon of clay powder with a small amount of water or hydrosol (for example rose water) until you have a smooth, spreadable paste.
  2. Apply a thin, even layer to your face. Avoid the eyes and lips.
  3. Leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes. Important: do not let the mask dry out completely. If it starts to feel tight or crack, rinse it off. A clay mask works best while it is still slightly moist.
  4. Rinse off with lukewarm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.
  5. Apply your usual day or night cream afterwards. Your skin now absorbs the care better.

💡 Tip from a customer: Use a small brush to apply the mask, it spreads more evenly and makes less mess.

💡 Tip: Mix the clay with rose water instead of tap water for an extra nourishing experience. Or add a drop of honey for extra hydration.

💡 Tip: Use a wooden or plastic spoon to mix the clay, metal can react with the minerals in the clay.

Frequently asked questions about this product

In what order do I use my facial care products?

Work from thin to thick: cleanse first, then a mask if you like, followed by serum and finally a cream or oil. During the day, finish with sun protection.

How do I use a face serum?

Apply a few drops to a clean, slightly damp face and gently press it into the skin. A serum is concentrated, so you need very little. Finish with a cream.

How do I use a clay mask?

Mix the powder with a little water into a smooth paste and apply it to a clean face. Let it dry, but not rock hard, about ten minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and then apply serum or cream.

How often do I use a face mask?

Once a week is fine for most skin types. For oily or blemish-prone skin it can be twice, for dry or sensitive skin once every two weeks.
