Handcrafted Soap Ocean Mist - Salty Coast, Green Depth
The scent of a walk along the coastline on a summer morning. Salty sea air, warm rocks, moss steaming in the sun. Handcrafted Ocean Mist Soap captures that moment, fresh and marine in the opening, with a surprising floral heart and a warm, earthy base of sandalwood and sea moss.
This soap is handmade using the cold process method in our soap workshop in Velsen-Noord. Four nourishing oils—shea butter, coconut oil, olive oil, and castor oil—are cold-saponified and then cured for at least 6 weeks. During this curing process, natural glycerin is created and remains in the soap. This is something that is removed in industrial soap. That glycerin makes the difference: your skin is cleansed and hydrated at the same time.

What does Ocean Mist smell like?
The fragrance builds in three layers:
🌊 The opening - Fresh, marine, and salty. Sea salt and cool sea air. Immediately refreshing, as if you are walking onto the coast.
🌹 The heart - Lily of the valley and rose. Soft, elegant floral notes that connect the salty freshness to the earthy base. Surprisingly sophisticated.
🪵 The base - Sandalwood and sea moss. Warm, earthy, and green. The sandalwood provides creamy depth, while the sea moss adds a damp, mossy tone that takes you back to rocks along the water.
The overall impression: not the open ocean, but the coastline. Salty breeze, warm rocks, and green depth. A scent that is both fresh and earthy.
Ocean Mist vs. Sea Breeze: Both are maritime scents, but they smell very different. Sea Breeze is lighter, more ozonic and aquatic—the open sea. Ocean Mist is saltier, earthier, and greener—the coast with rocks and moss. Do you like fresh and airy? Choose Sea Breeze. Do you like fresh and earthy? Choose Ocean Mist.
Four nourishing oils
🧈 Shea butter - Deeply hydrates and makes the soap extra creamy and soft on the skin.
🥥 Coconut oil - Provides a rich, creamy lather and cleanses effectively.
🫒 Olive oil - Mild, nourishing oil that keeps the skin soft and supple. The basis of every good cold process soap.
🌿 Castor oil - Stabilizes the lather and makes it creamier.
🧴 Natural glycerin - Created during the saponification process and remains in the soap. Attracts moisture and keeps the skin hydrated.
How do you use Handcrafted Soap?
- Wet your hands or skin.
- Rub the soap between your wet hands or directly over your skin until a lather forms.
- Massage the lather in and rinse with water.
💡 Tip: Use the soap in a soap pouch. It lathers even better, and the soap will last longer.
💡 Keep the soap dry between uses in a soap pouch or on a draining soap dish outside of the shower. Cold process soap is softer than industrial soap and dissolves faster if left in water.
💡 Are you switching from shower gel to bar soap for the first time? Your skin may feel a bit different during the first few weeks. After 1 to 2 weeks, most customers notice that their skin feels softer and healthier than before.

The Ocean Mist fragrance is made with fragrance oil. Contains dl-Citronellol, Hydroxycitronellal, Geraniol, Linalool, and d-Limonene as labeled allergens.
