We use Mica in our shampoo and conditioner bars to color them. But what actually is Mica?
Mica is a mineral found in various rocks and soil layers all over the world. It is a crystalline material consisting of silicon, oxygen, and various other elements such as potassium, magnesium, and iron. Mica is an important mineral used in various industries due to its unique properties such as insulation, heat resistance, and electrical properties. For instance, it is widely used to give paint its color.
But mica is also used in cosmetics. Eyeshadow, lip balm, foundation, etcetera. It gives the product a shiny, glittery look. It is safe and not harmful to the skin.
